Training Options

As a dog trainer, I teach you how to train your own dog. What you put into it is what you get out of it. Training is really about habit building. Repetition and consistency is key in molding your dog into your family/lifestyle cohesively. At the end of each session, I will ensure that you feel comfortable carrying out all of the training techniques and understand the exercises you'll be practicing between sessions. We will have a clear set of priorities and goals so you know exactly what to focus on. My approach is modern science-based, positive reinforcement. Although you will be responsible for the consistent work throughout the week, I am always available to contact between sessions should you have any questions or concerns that come up.

In-Person Private Lessons: In-Person Private lessons with me will be in the comfort of your own home. Private training allows for more individualization and one-on-one attention. Or, depending on what we're working on, can be arranged at dog-friendly public places. These lessons are tailored to your individual needs. We will start with an initial virtual consultation to discuss your goals and specific needs in depth. We will then schedule in-person follow ups as-needed to progressively add in more training. *This is only offered in the greater metropolitan area of Phoenix, AZ.

Virtual Lessons: Virtual lessons offer availability all over the world LIVE on Zoom. They include everything in-person lessons provide but the demonstrations will be with my personal dog. You will then practice training techniques with your own dog and receive in-the-moment feedback. Aside from the obvious reason of being out of my service area, virtual lessons are actually ideal when working through reactivity, aggression, anxiety or fearful behaviors. Virtual lessons give us the chance to discuss safety measures, management and prevention before working in-person. This allows us to set ourselves and our dogs up for success. In addition, if you need extra help between in-person sessions or you're considering learning about cooperative care, virtual sessions are the most accessible and affordable option. All you need is an internet connection and a computer or phone!

*At this time, I do not accept separation anxiety cases. There are specialty trainers who have additional certification in treating separation anxiety. I would refer you to:
